Throughout the season, the Ravens’ backfield of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry has rightfully taken center stage, but NFL fans shouldn’t forget about the group of pass catchers who have allowed Jackson to have the most productive passing season of his career.
Unfortunately, Flowers has been unable to contribute to the offense throughout Baltimore’s playoff run thus far. He’s been dealing with a knee injury that left him unable to play in the wild-card round. Even without Flowers, Jackson and Henry carried the offense as they cruised to a 28-14 victory over the Steelers.
Heading into the wild-card round, Flowers was unable to practice in any capacity before ultimately being ruled out. He began this week on the same path after failing to participate in practice on Wednesday afternoon.
Considering Flowers was already considered a longshot to play in this game, a DNP to open the week is a concerning sign when it comes to his availability.
