The Kansas City Chiefs will look for their third consecutive Super Bowl victory on Sunday when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ahead of the big game, the Toronto Maple Leafs got the players to weigh in on who they think will win.
Twenty-one players weighed in with KC coming out with a slight 11-10 edge. Mitch Marner, a Buffalo Bills fan cast the winning vote.
“Kansas City Chiefs, unfortunately,” he said while casting a 27-24 score prediction.
In his usually jovial self, William Nylander asked “Who’s playing?” before giving his prediction of the Eagles winning.
But perhaps the most surprising prediction came from Matthew Knies who said he’s not a favorite of either team before reluctantly selecting the Eagles. This was particularly surprising given that Knies, along with Joseph Woll, attended a Bills-Chiefs game where Knies was wearing a Travis Kelce Chiefs jersey.
The Maple Leafs are currently off for the next two weeks for the 4 Nations Face-Off break so they’ll have plenty of time to catch up on the Super Bowl and spend time with family and friends. Marner, Nylander and Auston Matthews will be off to Montreal for the start of the tournament representing Canada, Sweden and the United States of America, respectively.
