Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey made waves in the NFL last season. becoming an All-Pro and Pro Bowl kicker in hist first-ever NFL season, and breaking records by making his first 35 field goals.
In his second season now, Aubrey is tied for third in the league with 27 field goals made and his 65-yard field goal is the longest in Cowboys history and just a yard short of the longest ever made in the league. (Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker still holds that record.
Aubrey: From soccer standout to NFL star to children’s book author
What makes Aubrey’s path so interesting is that he started out as a professional soccer player before becoming an NFL kicker. He was drafted by MLS’ Toronto FC in 2017 and played in their reserve squad before moving on to Bethlehem FC.
He played for the USFL for a little bit and eventually, he decided to give the NFL a shot when the Cowboys signed him in 2023, and he immediately set records.
Now, he’s achieved another huge accomplishment with the completion of his first children’s book.
The book, titled One Dream in Front of the Other!, is based on his own life. The book is 32 pages long and is about a boy who dreams of becoming a professional soccer player. He then finds that dream abruptly changes to being a kicker for the Dallas Cowboys)
