An update on the ongoing negotiations for on-loan Barcelona starlet Vitor Roque to seal a permanent departure from the club has on Monday been provided.
The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, and confirms that the 19-year-old is indeed closing on a move back to his home country.
Brazilian giants Palmeiras have long been pushing to get a deal for Roque over the line ahead of the upcoming Brazilian transfer deadline.
This comes amid confirmation that an agreement is ‘done’ with Barcelona, over the terms of a transfer worth €25 million plus a 20% sell-on clause.
Roque is currently on loan with Manuel Pellegrini’s side, with the Verdiblancos having secured an option to buy as part of the deal.
Betis, in turn, will likely require some form of financial compensation, before giving the green light to their young attacker’s premature exit.
