Viktor Gyokeres breaks silence on failed Arsenal transfer as ‘secret’ Man United deal agreed

Mikel Arteta will be eager to return to winning ways after the international break. While the Premier League title race is still in its infancy, Arsenal gifted Manchester City and Liverpool a two-point advantage following a disappointing draw with Brighton.

Next week, the Gunners return to action against Tottenham Hotspur – although they’ll be without Declan Rice due to suspension. In order to waltz away from the north London derby victorious, Arsenal will have to be at their very best.

Fortunately, Arteta has a week or so on the training pitches at London Colney to conjure a match-winning game plan.

Gyokeres breaks his silence

Viktor Gyokeres has opened up on his failed transfer to Arsenal. The 26-year-old striker was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer, but a deal failed to materialise due to the eye-watering release clause in his Sporting CP contract.
