‘Unbelievable’ Arsenal youngster considering Manchester United switch after visiting this week

Arsenal might have a history of producing top young talent but they could now be set to lose a future star to Premier League rivals, Manchester United.

The Gunners have had countless success with young players and have seen the likes of Bukayo Saka become one of the best players in the world in recent years.

Last season, Ethan Nwaneri was considered the next big thing to emerge, while the likes of Myles Lewis Skelly and Amario Cozier-Duberry were also highly-rated.

Of course, Cozier-Duberry has now left for pastures new having signed for Brighton.

And in what could be another blow for the Gunners, another of their star youngsters is now being tempted by officials at Manchester United.

Chido Obi-Martin considering Manchester United move with no new Arsenal contract agreed

Obi-Martin is one of the top young players at Arsenal and enjoyed a superb season last year when he caught the eye with multiple high-scoring tallies in individual games.

But while Arsenal want to keep Obi-Martin, it looks like a move to Manchester United could happen.

According to the respected Academy Scoop account on social media, Obi-Martin has visited Carrington in Manchester this week ahead of a potential move from Arsenal.

The Academy Scoop write the following on X, explaining the situation:

“Chido Obi-Martin visited Carrington earlier this week to discuss a move to Manchester United. The record-breaking striker is yet to agree scholarship terms with Arsenal, and could be set for a move to Old Trafford despite constructive talks with Mikel Arteta.”

Interestingly, the tweet from the account was deleted not too long after being posted, which suggests there is some element of mystery around the deal.

Still, there must have been something in the initial story for the news to make it out in the first place.

It also backs up a prior tweet from the same account that suggested one of the top talents in England had visited Old Trafford this week.

Obi-Martin has been lauded by Jack Wilshere as being an ‘unbelievable’ talent in the past, after scoring five goals in one game last season as a 16-year-old.

Given Arsenal have already lost a few young players, they will be desperate to keep Obi-Martin.

Bayern Munich have also shown an interest in the youngster last season as well.
