Todd McShay Didn’t Hesitate When Naming Best Player in 2025 NFL Draft

As the 2024 college football season comes to a close, with a few teams remaining in the College Football Playoff, the NFL draft buzz has continued to rise.

In a recent podcast episode of “The McShay Show,” NFL draft analyst Todd McShay discussed some of the best prospects from college football.

After naming a few of the top quarterbacks in the pool, McShay revealed who he believes is the best prospect, giving credit to Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter.

As of right now, the New England Patriots are listed as the favorites to have the No. 1 overall draft pick, so McShay believes there’s plenty of options for a team that’s lacking deep talent.

While he thinks the Patriots should trade out of the No. 1 overall pick if they land that position, he explained that in the worst-case scenario, they draft Hunter.

“I think organizationally, let’s get that first pick,” McShay said. “Let’s trade out, if we can. Worst case, we get Travis Hunter, best player in the draft.”
