The truth cannot be ignored with Ivan Toney transfer links to Manchester United this summer

Manchester United have spent €112.5million (£96.8m) on two players in this transfer window.

Joshua Zirkzee was the first new face through the door when he signed from Bologna last month and Leny Yoro came next, joining from Lille on a five-year contract.

United are financially restricted in this summer transfer window and must sell players to offset further incomings, as club sources have reiterated when discussing transfer activity.

Alvaro Fernandez was sold for €6m plus €3m in potential add-ons, Donny van de Beek finally left for a fee that could rise to €4.5million, Villarreal paid €11.5m for Willy Kambwala and Mason Greenwood has been sold to Marseille for €31.6m, sales which equate to £47m.
