The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to bring back former their third baseman from the Los Angeles Angels

The Toronto Blue Jays are currently in the market for an infielder and it looks like they could be interested in signing one of their former players in Brandon Drury.

The Blue Jays need to bring in at least one infielder this season and it should be either a second or third baseman since Ernie Clement can play wherever the new player doesn’t.

Drury played for the Blue Jays from 2018 when he was acquired at the trade deadline from the New York Yankees up until 2020 when he was designated for assignment after a rough time in Toronto.

The former Blue Jay finally came into his own in 2022 and 2023 after record back to back 20+ homerun season with time split between the Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Angels.

Unfortunately, 2024 did not go as well as he hit only 4 homeruns with a .169 batting average and .242 on base percentage which is why the Angels decided to let him go as he is now a free agent.
