The Tennessee Vols reportedly made a big transfer portal addition on Tuesday.
According to On3, Alabama transfer wide receiver Amari Jefferson has committed to Tennessee.
Jefferson was a true freshman at Alabama this past season. He has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
Jefferson, 6-foot/197 lbs from Chattanooga, TN, is a former four-star recruit. He was rated by 247Sports as the No. 33 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Tennessee.
The former Alabama wide receiver will join a position group at Tennessee that includes Mike Matthews, Braylon Staley, Chris Brazzell, Travis Smith Jr, and Radarious Jackson
Jefferson had hip surgery in November (which was initially reported by VolQuest’s Austin Price during a recent appearance on 104.5 The Zone’s Ramon, Kayla, and Will), but he’s expected to be cleared for spring practice.
