Spencer Rattler spent time in a walk-in freezer to acclimate for the New Orleans Saints game in Green Bay

New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler revealed he been bracing himself for icy conditions in Green Bay by sitting in a walk-in freezer ahead of the Monday Night Football clash with the Green Bay Packers.

With temperatures of 30 degrees or lower and snowfall forecast for the game on Dec. 23 at Lambeau Field, New Orleans stars have made special preparations for the trip to Wisconsin. The Saints will be looking to breathe life into their playoff hopes on the road, having established a 5-9 record so far this season.

Their season has largely been characterized by inconsistency, with injuries to starting quarterback Derek Carr and running back Alvin Kamara compounding their malaise. By contrast, their next opponents have put themselves in a strong position with a 10-4 record as they chase a favorable postseason seeding.

Preparing for a stern test against the Packers, Saints quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko decided to stage a meeting with players in the team’s cafeteria – running them through plays in a walk-in freezer. He first hit upon the unorthodox strategy while working NFC North from 2015 to 2023.
