Cunningham, known not only for her gritty defense but also for having Caitlin Clark’s back on and off the court, lit up the IG Live session with a surprise twerking moment that had fans buzzing. Cunningham began her WNBA journey with the Phoenix Mercury, who selected her in the second round of the 2019 draft. Earlier this season, she made her way to Indiana in a four-team trade that also involved the Dallas Wings and Connecticut Sun. Since joining the Fever, she’s grown both on the court and online.
Outside of basketball, Cunningham has become a TikTok sensation, recently surpassing 1 million followers thanks to her trendy pregame outfit videos and engaging social media presence.
As for the Fever, they currently sit at an even 8-8 record—good for 8th in the league standings. The team is optimistic about Caitlin Clark’s return, as she’s listed as “day-to-day” following her injury on June 25.
