The New Orleans Saints became the first team to get shutout in their 34-0 loss on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers. New Orleans was extremely banged up offensively, missing key players such as Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave.
Rookie Spencer Rattler got the start but couldn’t make anything happen. The set of receivers he was given didn’t help either, as Dante Pettis, Kevin Austin Jr, Cedrick Wilson Jr and Mason Tipton presented no threat to the Packers defense. If the Saints want to avoid another situation like this in the future, they’ll need to look for another receiving option this offseason.
Pairing McMillan with Olave would be a dream scenario for whoever is the Saints’ quarterback in 2025. The 6’5, 212 pound McMillan cemented himself as one of the best receivers in college football this season, catching 84 passes for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. Over three seasons for the Wildcats, he had 213 catches for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns. His 16.1 yards per catch over his collegiate tenure speaks to the explosive threat McMillan.
