Manchester United will step up their pre-season preparations when they travel to the United States on Wednesday for their pre-season tour.
The Reds will play three friendlies during their stay in the US, facing Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool. Each outing will help Erik ten Hag’s players prepare for the season opener against Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on August 10.
Alongside preparing for the new season on the pitch, United are working tirelessly off it to provide Ten Hag with all the tools he needs. After signing Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna last Sunday, Leny Yoro arrived from Lille on Thursday.
United entered this summer’s transfer window with the ambition of strengthening both up front and at centre-back. To have achieved both of those objectives before flying out to the US deserves recognition.
