The 7x All-Star and 4x Gold Glover is heading to the Bronx for his 15th season in the league. Goldschmidt spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks before spending the next six playing for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Goldschmidt slashed .245/.302/.414/.716 (all career lows) last season with the Cardinals. He still put up 22 home runs with 65 RBI and 11 stolen bases last season, so the Yankees will be relying on that power this season after the departure of Juan Soto.
The Delaware native is one of the most decorated veterans in the MLB. On top of his All-Star nods and Gold Gloves, Goldschmidt also won the 2022 NL MVP Award after leading the NL in on-base percentage (.578) and OPS (.981) while hitting a stellar .317 average with 35 home runs and 115 RBI.
