New Bruins Forward Scores Big First Goal With Team

Last month, the Boston Bruins claimed Oliver Wahlstrom off waivers from the New York Islanders. With the Bruins needing help at the right wing position, it was understandable that they took a shot on the former first-rounder.

Wahlstrom’s start with the Bruins has been quiet, as he had zero points and a minus-2 rating in his first nine games. However, he has now broken the ice in a big way against the Florida Panthers.

Wahlstrom scored his first goal as a Bruin during the third period of the club’s matchup against the Panthers. It was a clutch goal, too, as it gave the Bruins a 3-2 lead. This was after Sam Reinhart tied the game up less than two minutes before.
