Montreal Canadiens Press Conference as All Eyes Turn to Cayden Primeau

After the Montreal Canadiens’ victory last night against the Detroit Red Wings, the organization has just called the media for a press conference. We’re definitely keeping an eye on what happens with goaltender Cayden Primeau.

It’s worth noting that the Habs are playing back-to-back games, that Samuel Montembeault played last night, but most importantly, Martin St-Louis has never confirmed that Primeau would be in net tonight.

This is a situation we will undoubtedly monitor closely tonight, during Martin St-Louis’ press conference, which is scheduled for around 5:40 PM ET.

If it were your decision, what would you do?

Montembeault was excellent last night (as was Jakub Dobes in Laval, by the way), but at some point, Samuel cannot play every game.

He will need a rest at some point.

Montembeault, 28 years old, has a record of 11-13-2 this season, with a goals-against average of 2.93 and a save percentage of 0.901.

As for Primeau, 25 years old, he has a record of 2-3-1 this season, with a goals-against average of 4.70 and a historically poor save percentage of 0.836.
