Arsenal fans are worried that Martin Odegaard could be “out for the season” after footage of him getting injured on international duty aired.
The 25-year-old midfielder was representing Norway in the Nations League against Austria when he was involved in a tackle that saw him roll his ankle.
Odegaard was immediately brought off as he was carried to the back in an emotional state, showcasing the pain that he was going through.
It has led to question marks over Odegaard’s status for this weekend’s North London derby against Tottenham.
The Gunners are already without Declan Rice due to suspension, while Mikel Merino is also sidelined with an injury.
Arsenal could also be missing Riccardo Califiori, who also got hurt on international duty, with Mikel Arteta’s squad being depleted.
