Manchester United will be hoping to conclude their pre-season tour of the United States with a victory when they face Liverpool at the Williams-Brice Stadium in South Carolina this weekend.
United, who went undefeated against the Merseysiders last season, recorded their second win of pre-season in midweek, beating Real Betis 3-2 in San Diego. Marcus Rashford, Amad and Casemiro got themselves on the scoresheet to help record a well-deserved win.
However the victory was overshadowed by the pre-match news that Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund face spells on the sidelines through injury. Rashford was also forced off in the second half but manager Erik ten Hag is hopeful his injury is nothing too serious.
But with United’s first competitive outing of the season now just a week away, it is unlikely they will take any risks with the forward. Antony was also taken off in the closing stages against Betis.
