Manchester United are just days away from one final test before beginning their Premier League campaign on August 16 against Fulham.
Erik ten Hag’s side will take on rivals Manchester City in Saturday’s Community Shield, looking to repeat their famous FA Cup final win over Pep Guardiola’s team from just a few months ago. United will be looking for a positive start in the hope of putting last season’s disappointing performances and results behind them.
The Reds are set to be without several key players though as Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro face a spell on the sidelines. In more positive news, they will have several star players back from an extended holiday following Euro 2024 and the Copa America. Whether they will be fit to start remains to be seen.
