Manchester United are prepared to return to negotiations with Bayern Munich for duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
United have so far completed deals for Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkze from Lille and Bologna respectively. However, the excitement was quickly taken away after Yoro fractured his foot and will be out for three months. Rasmus Hojlund has also joined him on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury during pre-season.
Erik ten Hag and Co. remain keen to get more signings through the door before the summer transfer window slams shut on September 2. However, United’s opening double offer to sign both De Ligt and Mazraoui was rebuffed.
