We are down to the last three weeks of the summer transfer window. Or three weeks and one day to be exact.
It has been a relatively quiet transfer window so far, with Euro 2024 and Copa America tournaments somewhat getting in the way of business being done. Arsenal are one of the clubs to have been quite quiet in terms of incomings.
The Gunners have brought in just two senior signings so far – David Raya making his loan move from Brentford last season permanent for £27million and Riccardo Calafiori joining the club from Bologna in a deal that could rise to £42million.
There is more work that needs to be done on that front. There is also work to be done in the outgoing pile.
Emile Smith Rowe has departed the club for Fulham in a £27million that could rise to £34million with add-ons. Meanwhile fringe stars like Mohamed Elneny, Cedric Coares, Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga have all also move on in either permanent or loan capacity.
