Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo believes standards are ‘a big thing’ and admitted seeing committed players at Carrington makes him want to work harder.
Mainoo overcame an ankle injury to enjoy a breakthrough season in 2023/24, which saw him become a consistent starter and score the winning goal in the FA Cup final.
The 19-year-old became an instant hit with supporters and there’s a feeling that United could build their midfield around him for the next decade if his progress continues.
Mainoo enjoyed an outstanding campaign and Gareth Southgate recognised his performances by including him in the England squad for Euro 2024. Mainoo started in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the tournament but the Three Lions fell just short of winning.
