FC Barcelona announce squad for Copa del Rey quarter-final against Valencia

The next Barcelona match is upon us! play a huge Copa del Rey quarter-final against Valencia at Mestalla, and Hansi Flick has called up the following 22 players for Thursday’s game:

Defenders: 2. Pau Cubarsí, 3. Alejandro Balde, 4. Ronald Araujo, 5. Iñigo Martínez, 23. Jules Kounde, 24. Eric García, 32. Héctor Fort, 35. Gerard Martín

Midfielders: 8, Pedri, 14. Pablo Torre, 16. Fermín López, 17. Marc Casadó, 20. Dani Olmo, 21. Frenkie de Jong

Forwards: 7. Ferran Torres, 9. Robert Lewandowski, 11. Raphinha, 18. Pau Víctor, 19. Lamine Yamal

There’s some very good news for this one as Dani Olmo is cleared to return after missing a couple of weeks with a calf issue, but there’s also some bad news as Gavi is still in concussion protocol after his head injury at the weekend and is unable to make the trip. Also out due to injury are Marc-André ter Stegen (knee), Andreas Christensen (calf) and Marc Bernal (knee), while Ansu Fati is not in the squad per the coach’s decision.
