As the 2024 regular season wraps up, we are getting a look ahead at next year. For the Dallas Cowboys, they are hoping for better luck than the hand they were dealt in 2024. With a hamstring injury to Dak Prescott, among other injuries and offensive struggles, the Cowboys ended the season 7-10, and will be selecting 12th overall in the NFL draft.
While the exact schedule won’t be released until May, we are able to breakdown all of the Cowboys’ opponents and where the games will take place for next season.
Of course, per usual, the Cowboys will have a home and an away game against the Eagles, Giants, and Commanders. The Cowboys went 3-3 in such games this past season.
The Cowboys will host the Kansas City Chiefs (15-2 this season), Green Bay Packers (11-6), Los Angeles Chargers (11-6), Minnesota Vikings (14-2), and Arizona Cardinals (8-9). That’s four playoff powerhouses coming to AT&T Stadium.
On the road, the Cowboys will travel to take on the Chicago Bears (5-12), Las Vegas Raiders (4-13), Denver Broncos (10-7), Detroit Lions (14-2), Carolina Panthers (5-12), and New York Jets (5-12).
Outside of their division, only two of next year’s opponents got to play the Cowboys this season: the Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers.
The Lions obliterated the Cowboys in Week 6, in one of the seasons’ biggest blowouts that saw the Cowboys surrender 47 points while scoring just nine of their own.
The Cowboys were able to best the Panthers in Week 15, winning 30-14. Cooper Rush threw for three touchdowns in the matchup, with Eric Kendricks and Israel Mukuamu picking up interceptions.
10 of the Cowboys’ 17 games next season come against opponents that were over .500 this season. The Cowboys will have a brutal road ahead, but before they cross that bridge, they’ve got a long offseason to tackle. The Cowboys will look to add reinforcements to put them back into the playoff picture this offseason through free agency and the draft.
