Casado ‘shocked’ by Laporta praise as he confirms Barcelona renewal is close

Barcelona Atletic captain Marc Casado has admitted he was “shocked” by recent praise from Joan Laporta who also said he expected the midfielder to be part of the first-team next season.

Casado has been tipped to replace Sergi Roberto in the senior squad and is thrilled to hear of the faith the club has in him.

Casado also confirmed that he’s in contract negotiations talks and is close to an agreement with the club.
