Without hesitation, he whipped a first-time left-footed effort towards goal, and watched it sail out of the reach of Ederson and whistle into the top corner, sending the travelling Gooners wild.
That goal was also a contender for the Premier League’s best strike of the month, and is certain to be up there in the voting for our seasonal award.
