Leny Yoro has received a string of messages of support from his new Manchester United team-mates after undergoing surgery on a foot injury he sustained in the United States.
The 18-year-old, who signed for United from Lille in a deal worth £52m last month, was forced off in United’s pre-season defeat to Arsenal in late July and, on Monday, underwent surgery to correct the issue.
Following surgery, Yoro took to Instagram to tell supporters he would return “stronger” from his expected three-month injury lay-off. And on Instagram, the Frenchman’s new United team-mates sent him messages of support.
United captain Bruno Fernandes posted, “We’ll be waiting and supporting you”, while Rasmus Hojlund commented, “Back strong my bro”. Mason Mount, Ethan Wheatley and Hannibal Mejbri were among those to also support the defender.
