Broncos Final Week 16 Injury Report: Team is set to be without two big names

The Denver Broncos are facing a short week, having to play on Thursday Night Football for the second time this season. It will be the biggest Broncos game in years as they can clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2015 with a win, but they’ll have to do so against a hungry Los Angeles Chargers team.

The Broncos’ final injury report revealed that Riley Moss will miss his third straight game, and running back Jaleel McLaughlin, who developed a quad injury, will also be out.

McLaughlin has led all Broncos running backs in carries in each of the last three games. Javonte Williams and rookie Audric Estime will be tasked with carrying the load against the Chargers, but that is all the Broncos have.

Tyler Badie is still on injured reserve, and it seems likely that he won’t play again this season.

It could be a spot for the team to elevate undrafted free agent Blake Watson from the practice squad. Considered one of the best undrafted free agent signings in the league following the draft, Watson had yet to show what he can do in the NFL.

If all else fails, the Broncos could have to turn to fullback Michael Burton for a carry or two on Thursday night.
