Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka has undergone surgery on a hamstring injury.
The England international pulled during Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace last week. Speaking in his press conference ahead of Friday night’s clash with Ipswich, Arteta admitted the problem was serious.
Rumours have been circulating since over the severity of the problem for Saka with many suggesting the 23-year-old had gone under the knife. Arteta has now confirmed this to be the case and confirmed that Saka is set to be out for “many, many weeks.”
