A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Sunday evening once more been labelled the very best in world football in his role.
After putting five past Valencia in the Copa del Rey in midweek, the Blaugrana have welcomed Sevilla to Catalunya’s capital, for a La Liga clash.
Pedri, for his part, was afforded his latest starting berth in the clash, from his customary berth at the base of midfield.
And to say that the 22-year-old has since gone on to impress would be something of an understatement.
Amid nothing short of a masterful display in the middle of the park, Pedri has controlled the tempo of the game, courtesy of a complete repertoire of dribbling, passing, creative flair and work rate.
The former Las Palmas man has also carved out a number of goalscoring opportunities for his teammates, one of which culminated in a wonderful assist for Fermín López.
