Barcelona could offer players in deal for €20 million-rated pivot target

Javi Guerra has become a hot topic in Barcelona circles in recent days, following reports of the club’s interest in the Valencia starlet.

A central midfielder by trade, Guerra has been one of the rising stars in La Liga this season, racking up 36 competitive appearances for Los Che.

The youngster has impressed onlookers with his quality on the ball and ability to orchestrate the play from the middle, prompting Barcelona to enquire about his availability.

Barcelona can afford Guerra

Now, a recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered a crucial update on Barcelona’s pursuit of Javi Guerra.

The report confirms that Barcelona are in a position to afford Javi Guerra this summer. After carrying out several inquiries, the club have learnt that they can thus make a move for the Spaniard this coming summer.

This also comes on the back of earlier reports pegging Guerra’s valuation at around €20 million, which now appears to be a reasonable one, as far as Barcelona are concerned.

Guerra’s current contract at Valencia expires in the summer of 2027. However, his valuation remains low due to a relative lack of experience in professional football.

Final decision to be taken by Flick

However, Barcelona have not made a final decision on Guerra nor made an official proposal for the Valencia starlet.

The final decision will likely be taken by Hansi Flick, who has been officially appointed as the replacement for Xavi Hernandez.

Depending on Flick’s recommendation, Barcelona will maintain contact with both Valencia and the player’s agent, as they seek a potential summer swoop for the young midfielder.

The addition of Guerra could go a long way in reinforcing the ranks at Barcelona, as they gear up for a new era under Flick.
