Arsenal are yet to make a signing this summer but speculation over transfer activity is beginning to ramp up.
The Gunners have spent heavily in the past two summer transfer windows as they bid to prise the Premier League title out of Manchester City’s grasp and Mikel Arteta is expected to be backed heavily again after another fine season.
It’s believed Arteta is in the market for another central midfielder and attacking reinforcements, although the Spaniard has already missed out on one top target with Benjamin Sesko opting to stay at Red Bull Leipzig.
Arsenal are expected to be active in the market, though, so with that in mind.
Arsenal advance Calafiori talks
Arsenal and Bologna are set for further talks over a deal for Riccardo Calafiori this week, it has been claimed.
The versatile defender, 22, caught the eye for Italy in their Euro 2024 campaign prior to their exit and has been heavily linked with the Gunners in recent weeks.
A new report from The Mail has now claimed that talks with Bologna over a fee for Calafiori are set to take place this week with Arsenal to get him on board before they head off on their pre-season tour of the United States.
