The Gunners remain in the market for a midfielder and a striker this summer, with the club’s respective pursuits of Mikel Merino and Viktor Gyokeres continuing to push forward.
Meanwhile, exits for both Eddie Nketiah and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale remain on the cards.

Gunners press ahead for Gyokeres
Arsenal have been linked with a number of top forwards this summer, but were forced to pivot after their No 1 target Benjamin Sesko opted to sign a new contract with Red Bull Leipzig just before Euro 2024.
Now Sporting Lisbon forward Viktor Gyokeres looks most likely to end up at the Emirates before the end of the month.
As outlined by a new report from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal are “very active” on Gyokeres, who plundered 43 goals in 50 games for Sporting last season.
The Gunners are reportedly unlikely to move for Victor Osimhen, who still wants to leave Napoli this summer.
