Arsenal receive fresh Kingsley Coman transfer hope as statement released

Arsenal could formalise a pursuit of Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman following a fresh transfer development. The Gunners have brought in four new players this summer and are now hoping to add a forward to their ranks if a unique market opportunity arises and Coman could be considered one of those.

The France international has been made available for transfer by Bayern, either on a permanent deal or season-long loan. As Arsenal have signed Mikel Merino, Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya for just under £100million, the club’s finances are unlikely to stretch for another lucrative permanent signing.

Emile Smith Rowe’s initial £27million move to Fulham has helped matters and Eddie Nketiah’s proposed £30million switch to Crystal Palace will also offer some assistance, though it is likely to be a temporary move if Arsenal do push to sign Coman.

Other clubs across Europe have shown a keen interest but it was Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal that looked to have wrapped up a deal with Coman said to have accepted the move and Bayern asking for between £42million (€50m) and £50.5million (€60m) to sanction his exit.
