Arsenal put on alert as Bayern Munich star ‘decides to leave’ with time ticking down

Kingsley Coman has reportedly decided that he would like to leave Bayern Munich before the summer transfer window closes.

The winger has spent nine years with the Bundesliga outfit but is now keen to embark on a new challenge, having won countless trophies in Germany and also in France (Paris Saint-Germain) and Italy (Juventus).
Coman, who scored just five goals in 27 appearances for Bayern last season, has caught the attention of top clubs around Europe – and elsewhere.
According to L‘Equipe, the France international has decided that he is keen to leave Bayern in the final few days of the transfer window.
His availability has ‘attracted’ interest from several Premier League clubs, though suitors are expected to come forward from elsewhere. Coman is said to have previously snubbed approaches from the Saudi Pro League.
The 28-year-old was linked with Arsenal earlier this summer, and it would be no surprise for Mikel Arteta’s side to be in the frame to secure the signature of the versatile forward given that attacking reinforcements have not been ruled out at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have made two signings already this summer, with Riccardo Calafiori and David Raya joining the club, and a third arrival is on the way in the shape of Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino.
However, questions have been raised about whether Arteta has enough attacking depth to push for trophies on all fronts. Arsenal are expected to part ways with Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson before the transfer window closes, which could leave them short of rotational options.
