Arsenal should tie up a move for Riccardo Calafiori in the coming days. The Italian defender’s transfer to Arsenal has been in the offing for what seems like forever and there may finally be light at the end of the tunnel.
The £33.7million deal with up to £4.2million in add ons has now been agreed and the club are even preparing to welcome him on their pre-season tour of the USA. That is the extent of confidence in the deal going through.
That deal has been done without any big-money outgoing sales by Arsenal as yet, although one exit is close. That suggests any more made from sales could go straight into Mikel Arteta’s fund to bring in more new players.
So what could Arsenal earn from outgoing deals and how much could Arteta yet have to spend in the final month of the summer transfer window.
