It’s interesting to hear Nelson say that he’s joined Fulham to get more minutes, because it’s unclear how much he will actually play during this spell.
Indeed, Fulham already have some great options on the wing.
Adama Traore has been the Whites’ best attacking player so far this season down the right side, while the likes of Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe are options down the left.
The reality is that Nelson may not be one of the first names on the teamsheet at Fulham, and he may have been better off heading to a team like Ipswich where he would’ve played more often.
Whether or not this ends up being a good move for Nelson remains to be seen, but this one could potentially backfire as Nelson is joining a team that already has a fair share of wide talent.
