Arsenal news and transfers LIVE – Raheem Sterling and Declan Rice updates, Victor Osimhen twist

Arsenal players are preparing to jet-off to represent their countries during the international break.

The Gunners do so unbeaten in the Premier League, after winning two of their opening three games this season. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, though, as their opener from Kai Havertz was cancelled out in the second half by Brighton star Joao Pedro.

Declan Rice was also controversially sent-off in that match as the fallout continues. Mikel Merino is one big name who will stay put at London Colney this week as he receives treatment for a shoulder injury, which has prevented the former Real Sociedad midfielder from making his Arsenal debut after switching to the club this summer.

There’s also lingering transfer speculation after the window closed. Arsenal rejected a loan offer from Al-Ittihad to lure forward Leandro Trossard to Saudi Arabia this week.
