Arsenal stance on Leandro Trossard exit revealed amid Saudi Arabia transfer interest

Arsenal have no intention of letting Leandro Trossard leave amid transfer interest from Saudi Arabia.

It’s understood Saudi side Al Ittihad submitted a €35million (£29.4million) bid for the Belgian ahead of the Saudi Arabia summer transfer window closing on Monday, September 2. The Gunners remain adamant the 29-year-old is not for sale, however, as Mikel Arteta sees the former Brighton & Hove Albion man as an important player for the 2024/25 season.

The English summer transfer window closed at 11pm on Friday and Arsenal brought in Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea to bolster Arteta’s attacking options.

Trossard has been sensational for Arsenal since joining from Brighton in January 2023. The 29-year-old has featured in all three of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season, scoring once in the 2-0 Aston Villa victory. Last campaign he scored 17 goals and assisted his teammates twice in 46 appearances.
