Raheem Sterling to Arsenal transfer stance revealed as Mikel Arteta plots two deadline day bids

Mikel Arteta has just hours left to wrap up any final business before the summer transfer window slams shut. Arsenal have already welcomed a few new faces to the Emirates Stadium this summer, tying David Raya down to a long-term contract before signing Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino.

Last year, the Gunners spent over £200m on Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber. Having invested heavily in his midfield and backline, Arteta might finally decide to sign a new striker – especially with Eddie Nketiah edging closer to an exit.

Sterling wants Arsenal move

Arsenal have been given a major boost to their hopes of signing Raheem Sterling. The 29-year-old winger faces an incredibly uncertain future after falling out of favour at Chelsea, and he’s being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The 25-year-old striker isn’t the only player who could leave London Colney in the coming hours, with Aaron Ramsdale also keen to play regular first-team football.
