Manchester United have so far used 17 players across the first two games of the 2024/25 Premier League season. All but two have them have featured in both matches against Brighton and Fulham.
In total, there are 31 names listed on the Men’s squad section of the Manchester United website. Last term Erik ten Hag gave appearances to 31 himself, although it is not the same group as he has started with this year. Only 27 started a match. Even fewer, just 24, started more than once, and 20 started at least five.
Even in an injury-hit campaign across the field, United still ended up hitting the norm and balancing out the group. Splitting it up again, of those with five or more total appearances, there were Under-21s. So, despite naming an initial 25-man squad after the summer transfer window, their inclusion was not registered.
