Arsenal Transfer Update: Mikel Merino Targeted, Nketiah and Ramsdale Exit Rumors Intensify Following Rejected Proposal

Although he did not participate in the recent match against Rayo Vallecano—a tactical decision by Sociedad—the club’s president, Jokin Aperribay, reiterated their stance against accepting a lower bid.
Aperribay stated, “We will engage with Arsenal and prioritize the interests of Real Sociedad. We will agree to a deal when we deem the offer satisfactory.”
Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain as he is reportedly considering a move away from the club, having been relegated to a backup role behind David Raya for the upcoming season.

It is indicated that Wolves would assume most of Ramsdale’s salary. However, there is an acknowledgment that finalizing a deal may prove challenging due to financial constraints.
Discussions with Arsenal are reportedly ongoing, although it remains uncertain whether Wolves’ backup goalkeeper, Dan Bentley, will be included in these negotiations. The Gunners are said to prefer selling Ramsdale outright rather than allowing him to depart on a temporary basis.
Ajax Offer
Last week, Arsenal rejected an inquiry from Ajax, who proposed a loan deal that was quickly turned down by the Gunners.

Regarding Ramsdale’s future, Arteta commented back in April, “I’m not going to discuss those matters.”
When asked if there was any indication that Ramsdale might remain with Arsenal next season, he replied, “A suggestion? The reality is clear: Aaron will be here because he is our player and has a contract.”
