Arsenal get green light for bargain £13m transfer that could help Bukayo Saka

Juventus boss Thiago Motta has confirmed Federico Chiesa is not in the club’s plans this season amid transfer links with Arsenal.

The Italian winger has struggled with form and injuries over the past few seasons since playing a starring role for Italy at Euro 2020. Chiesa’s struggles have seen him linked with a move away from Turin this summer with the Italians said to be keen for him to move on.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been linked with a move for the 26-year-old whose contract at Juve expires next year. Recent reports have claimed that Chiesa’s asking price could be just €15million (£13million), in what would seem to be a bargain fee for a player who could help take the burden off Bukayo Saka for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Now, new Juve manager Motta has admitted that talks have taken place with the winger with it being made clear that he is unlikely to play for them in 2024/25. Motta was speaking ahead of his first game in charge of Juventus on Monday night against Cesc Fabregas’ Como.
