Victor Osimhen is prepared to reject Chelsea and Arsenal to seal a ‘dream’ move to Paris Saint-Germain. The 25-year-old is expected to leave Napoli this summer and a move to the Premier League has been mooted.
Osimhen scored an impressive 17 goals in 32 appearances last season but his future is uncertain with the forward having two years left on his contract. He has a £100million release clause inserted into his deal, but it’s unlikely that either Chelsea or Arsenal will trigger that before the end of the month.
Meanwhile, PSG would have to offload a big-name attacker before they could sign Osimhen, according to Sky Sports Germany. Portugal international Goncalo Ramos and France forward Randal Kolo Muani are the two main players on that list after struggling to cement a starting spot.
As well as this, it’s added that Osimhen has his heart set on a move to PSG. He is prepared to wait until the end of the window to seal the deal as the French side attempt to go and sell one of their forward players.
Chelsea are hoping to get Romelu Lukaku out of the doors and a player-plus-cash swap deal involving Osimhen had been mooted over the summer. Lukaku spent last season at Roma and worked with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan. The 31-year-old Belgian netted 21 goals in 47 appearances in 2023/24.
As for Arsenal, the Gunners have been linked with a move for Osimhen this summer as Mikel Arteta’s side try and add another forward to their squad. But their transfer plans could change after Kai Havertz scored one and set up another in the 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
