Arsenal braced for bidding war as Eddie Nketiah attracts interest from two Premier League clubs

Eddie Nketiah is attracting interest from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace as he edges closer to an exit from Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has been a valued member of Mikel Arteta’s squad, scoring 29 goals in 153 appearances under the Spaniard. However, he has largely been restricted to substitute appearances in recent times and has not started a competitive match since December last year after falling behind Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard in the pecking order.

Nketiah is now open to a departure and had shown interest in a move to Marseille earlier this window. The French side ultimately opted to sign Elye Wahi, however.

Now a stay in England is looking more likely with two Premier League sides showing interest in the striker. Bournemouth are looking at Nketiah as a potential replacement for Dominic Solanke who joined Tottenham in a £65million deal earlier this month. Palace meanwhile have a long-standing interest in the 25-year-old and have shown an interest in moving for him again this summer after being rebuffed in January and previous summer windows.
