Nketiah has been courting transfer interest from Olympique Marseille, but the French side appears to have given up on their pursuit.
It was claimed that the Gunners set a price they were unwilling to match, meaning other targets were a focus instead.

That is because recent reports have stated that Bournemouth are following a move for Nketiah – following Dominic Solanke’s switch to Tottenham.

Arsenal appear to be stepping up their efforts to land Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino this summer before the transfer window closes.
The Spaniard has impressed over the past year in La Liga as well as during the European Championships last month.
That led to plenty of links between Arsenal and a move for Merino, though talks appeared to be at a standstill.
That’s until now as The Athletic claims that Sporting Director Edu Gaspar has flown to Spain this week to try and find a breakthrough in the transfer situation.
The Gunners are claimed to be confident of agreeing a deal, while personal terms aren’t a concern at this stage.
With the clubs now in direct dialogue over a move, there will be hope that the transfer can be accelerated soon.
Victor Osimhen decision
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, following uncertainty over his future.
The Nigerian international announced himself to the world in the 2022/23 season, helping the Azzurri win the Serie A title.
A mixture of frightening physicality, pace and finishing ability saw Osimhen become one of the most talked about forwards in the world.
However, last season saw Napoli take a step back as the 25-year-old suffered several injury concerns over the campaign.
With a difficult season behind him, Osimhen is now looking to the future and a possible exit from Italy is on the cards.
While Arsenal have been linked, it’s their rivals Chelsea who have been labelled as potential frontrunners for a deal that would include Romelu Lukaku moving the other way.
However, according to Florian Plettenberg, Osimhen is holding out to join PSG as his priority this summer.
It comes as a potential blow to the Gunners, who are still in the market for a striker but are yet to pick their main target.
That could see Arteta wait another season before the right opportunity arises in those forward roles.
