Bournemouth agree to sell Arsenal fan Dominic Solanke to Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are set to continue their trend of signing Arsenal fans after agreeing to a fee for the transfer of AFC Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. That is according to David Ornstein, who reports that the 26-year-old is pushing to finalise his summer switch to Spurs.
Solanke and Tottenham have already reached an agreement over personal terms and a final hurdle has fallen after Spurs and Bournemouth agreed on the fee for his transfer. The teams are now locked in talks to reach a final agreement to see the forward move to north London.
Spurs have sought to sign Solanke after the striker hit 19 goals in 38 Premier League fixtures last season. It took his career top-flight tally to 29 goals in 134 games. But Arsenal fans have taken notice of Tottenham’s transfer for Solanke as he is a self-admitted Gunners supporter.
“[My first shirt] would have probably been Arsenal,” Solanke told the BBC in May. “My dad was an Arsenal fan, so I used to follow them. I went to a few Emirates Cups back in the day.”

Chelsea agree a deal to sign Arsenal target Pedro Neto from Wolves
Chelsea are set to sign Pedro Neto after reaching an agreement with Wolves for the transfer of the long-time Arsenal target. That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Neto is bound for Stamford Bridge in an initial €60m (£51.5m) deal, plus €3m (£2.5m) in add-ons.
Super-agent Jorge Mendes has also already found an agreement with Chelsea over Neto’s personal terms in west London. The 24-year-old is now booked in for his medical to add new attacking impetus to boss Enzo Maresca’s first side in charge at Stamford Bridge this term.
Arsenal had previously considered signing Neto after he scored two and assisted nine goals in 20 Premier League games last season. The Portuguese livewire also created problems on both wings and from the centre. But he suffered major hamstring injuries to each legs, too.

Arsenal agree to send Eddie Nketiah on loan to Marseille
Eddie Nketiah is now waiting on a decision from Marseille before joining the Ligue 1 team in an initial loan transfer from Arsenal. That is according to David Ornstein, who notes that OM are weighing up a counter proposal from the Gunners that would carry an obligation to buy.
Arsenal have eased their position and are willing to let Nketiah join Marseille on loan for the 2024/25 season. But the north London giants are demanding the deal includes an obligation for OM to buy the striker next summer for €30m (£25.5m) or the move risks falling through.
Nketiah has already agreed on personal terms to sign a five-year contract with Marseille and end his 11-year Arsenal career. He joined the Gunners at 14 but has struggled to cut it at the first-team level with the 25-year-old hitting five goals in 27 Premier League games last term.
