Arsenal could sign player that is as good as Alexander Isak for only £25m

With key striker Gabriel Jesus struggling with injuries that is affecting his form and Eddie Nketiah almost sealing a move away from the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal have intensified their search for a new striker.

Their search for a new striker has led them to Lille’s Jonathan David, a £25m talent who is reportedly as good as one of their striker top target Alexander Isak who could provide the goalscoring spark they require. Jonathan David is agile, energetic, tall and shares many physical qualities with Isak. With Alexander Isak’s £100m+ price tag deemed too high, David has emerged as a viable alternative.

The 24-year-old Canadian striker impressed in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 19 goals in 34 appearances. His statistics rival those of Isak, boasting a better shot-on-target accuracy rate and pass completion rate. David’s ability to thrive in a possession-based system makes him an attractive fit for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal

Arsenal’s interest in David is genuine, with Chelsea and Spurs also vying for his signature. However, the Gunners’ need for a clinical finisher makes him a priority target. David’s arrival could transform their attack, providing a reliable goalscorer to complement Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

With Mikel Merino’s arrival imminent, Arsenal are eager to complete their attacking jigsaw. Jonathan David’s signing could be the missing piece, propelling Arsenal towards a successful 2024/25 campaign. His goalscoring prowess and adaptability make him an excellent addition to Arteta’s squad.

The English transfer window will officially be closed at the end of this month and Arsenal is poised to seal the move  of David before the close of the summer transfer window. In a summer of significant spending, Arsenal’s prudent approach to signing David could pay dividends. His arrival could be the catalyst for success, helping the Gunners to dethrone Manchester City.
