Arsenal could find themselves impacted by long-term transfer target Pedro Neto agreeing to join Chelsea from Wolves. The Gunners have been linked to Neto regularly over the last few years, though the timing of injury issues has prevented interest from ever being fully formalised.
North London rivals Tottenham have also been mooted as a potential destination for Neto with Ange Postecoglou keen to welcome a new winger. However, despite the interest, it is across the capital where Neto will be playing his football for the 2024/25 campaign after Chelsea agreed to sign him in a deal worth £51.4million plus £2.6m in add-ons.
Though the Gunners are open to bolstering their attacking depth with an addition out wide, the current priority is to sign a midfielder. Mikel Merino of Real Sociedad looks to be the favoured signing for Mikel Arteta and Edu with club talks ongoing and contact made on the side of the player.
Sanctioning more outgoings will also be a key aim with Emile Smith Rowe having already sealed a permanent exit. Eddie Nketiah could follow shortly with the Gunners open to sanctioning a loan and buy obligation in the region of £25million amid continued interest from Marseille after the French club saw two bids rejected.
